Located off I65 in Alabama about 40 miles south of Birmingham, AL is the Peach Queen Campground. We spend one week here in the spring of 2018 while making our way to Tennessee. The Campground is rather large, very easy to get to and is next door to three fuel stations. One of the fuel stations has a liquor store and restaurant inside.
The rates were average for a full hook up but they had no cable or satellite for guest to hook up to. They also have a very large off-leash dog park. But when we stayed the grass was so high you couldn’t really enjoy it. Actually, the grass in the whole park was in need of being cut. The roads were okay but a bit muddy as it had rained several inches over the past two weeks. One guest had gotten his leveling jack stuck in the mud and the gentleman working the office was kind enough to bring out the loader to help him. The playground is across from the pool and both are okay but nothing special enough to bring anyone back for. No laundry on site either.
All in all, it is an okay place to stop off for a night. But I wouldn’t recommend staying for much more than that.
