Just a few miles outside of Colorado Springs sits Falcon Meadows RV Campground. Situated in Peyton Colorado it is run by fantastic people who are a pleasure to talk with. The location is ideal right off of Route 24 just and few miles northeast of Colorado Springs. In less than fifteen minutes you can be in downtown or be taking the on-ramp to I25. Our spot for the week was a very nice pull through that offered tons and room and privacy. They have THE LARGEST dog park we have ever seen of any campground to date. The huge fully fenced in area allows for multiple large dogs to run at once. The even bring water to the park in gallon jugs for the dogs to drink. The grass was well maintained and kept short so bugs are kept to a minimum.

Nearby

During our week-long visit, we enjoyed the many local restaurants less than five minutes away. In particular the Guadalajara Family Restaurant. They have some of the best authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had.  The service is always excellent as well. And if you need groceries the Safeway is also conveniently located within less than five minutes from the campground.

 Other Attractions

The Garden Of The Gods is a National Park and the most visited attraction in the Pikes Peak Region. It’s only 18 miles from Falcon Meadows RV Campground and takes about thirty minutes to get there. At the visitor center, you can opt for a Jeep or Segway tour, Rent mountain bikes or electric bikes, or even go rock climbing! After you finish head on over to the Manitou Cliff dwelling just 5 miles from Garden Of The Gods. And if you want to hit the local Gold’s Gym you will find a large and fully equipped facility fifteen minutes from the campground on N. Academy Blvd.

Jay 'n Trish

We are Jay and Trish, and we're traveling full time in our 38-foot 5th wheel across America. We like to support small business along the way so we always look for that special place the locals like to eat. We also look for full hook up camping spots to basecamp for a week or two while we visit the local communities so we can report back to you what we find. We will give you our honest opinion of each place we stay, eat and work out. Our Beagle Boxer mix, Echo, will also give you reviews on dog friendly places and local dog parks that she visits.
